Sir,
I'm terribly confused. The imam of the mosque near my house tells me that the cyclone was preordained and nothing could have prevented the deaths of those who were killed by the falling signboards in Karachi. But the chief minister of Sindh says that the cyclone happened because of the obscene signboards in the city, obscene because they depicted women. I thought Islam forbade all kinds of pictures, whether those of men or women, and I have seen many signboards with pictures of men, particularly one of a man who bears a striking resemblance to a former prime minister of the country. I would like to ask the good doctor why most of the people who were affected by the cyclone lived near the seashore, in those areas where there are no signboards. I would also like to know why, if it was the will of God, he is blaming the Meteorogical department for not giving timely warning
