QUO: This refers to the letter ‘Inherently wrong’ (Oct 24). Since politicians
now have the power to appoint judges, the judges should be given the power to
select future presidents, governors, prime ministers as well as chief
ministers. Indeed, this would allow the judiciary to keep a check on executive
and legislative overreach.
