DEMONETISATION: This is with reference to the report ‘Transitioning away from a cash economy’ (Oct 5) which suggested demonetisation of the Rs5,000 currency note in a phased manner. I agree with the proposal since it will to a large extent help the government control corruption. This will make life tough for anyone involved in any sort of corruption. The government needs to give the suggestion due consideration.
