Killers spared execution

Sir: Being against capital punishment I believe that the Indian Supreme Court’s decision to commute to life imprisonment the death penalty of Rajiv Gandhi’s killers is correct. Of course, if the killers had been Muslims, they’d have been executed by the Indian government within a couple of years of being sentenced to death.
