Sir: Sixty years of fighting has resulted in practically no one in Indian-occupied Kashmir wanting the disputed territory to join Pakistan. They either want independence or the merger of the state with India, according to a survey carried out recently. Is this why we went to war with India? Is this why we risked our own existence so many times? “Ingratitude, thou marble-hearted fiend!” (Shakespeare).
