One major difference between Imran Khan and the two who were the country's leaders before him is that he is more educated than they are. Both Nawaz Sharif and Zardari are virtually illiterate (Nawaz's Pakistani bachelor's degree doesn't entitle him to be called educated, while Zardari's degree was widely suspected to be fake). Both of them were in frequent contact with spiritual gurus. Zardari always asked his spiritual advisor whether he should to to the mountains or to the coast, while Nawaz's guru would tell him on which days he should travel by air. Imran Khan is just like them, something that I've known for a long time.
When Imran married a woman spiritual leader, I predicted that he too would be strongly influenced by her. And I have been proven right. According to today's DAWN (https://www.dawn.com/news/1533222/the-problem-with-buzdar), it was she who told him to appoint the present nincompoop chief minister of Punjab (Usman Buzdar), as the latter's first name began with the Urdu letter "aieen".
As the days go by, we shall soon have more evidence that it is actually Imran's wife who is responsible for the mess the country is in today. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he consults her in practically all matters of state. But then, even though he's an Oxford graduate, I always knew he needed psychiatric treatment (even when he was in the opposition). I hope she doesn't tell him to do something drastic (like declaring war on Somalia or Ehiopia).
