Sindh accountability

This refers to the editorial, ‘Hot water’ (June 21). It is indeed surprising that the powerful Punjab minister Rana Sanaullah had to resign owing to the killing of 13 people by police. The surprising thing about it is that for the past over 25 years, hundreds of people have been killed in Karachi every year, yet no one has resigned.

Those responsible (like the chief minister) have continued enjoying the perks and privileges of office as if they're masters of all they survey. It's time now for some accountability so that Sindh ministers become aware that they're answerable to the suffering people of the province.
