Bound to fail

This is apropos your
editorial “Bound to fail” (December 23) the present finance minister is doing
the same thing his predecessors have done many times without success: giving
amnesty to tax evaders, instead of catching gas and electricity thieves,
smugglers and those indulging in income tax/sales tax evasion. If the
government cannot recover taxes from the big thieves, it should return all the
tax money that has been paid over the past sixty six years by honest
tax-payers, in accordance with the principles of natural justice.
