Sir: With the promulgation of another tax amnesty scheme, the PML-N government has proved what we always suspected: that it too is composed of looters. The feudal lords who make millions from farming were already exempted from paying taxes. Now those who were supposed to

pay but were evading payment will be able to get away with their crimes by paying only one percent of the looted amount. At the same time, those honest taxpayers who were paying 10 percent or more of their incomes (like salaried persons, pensioners, widows) will continue doing so. Mr Nawaz Sharif and Mr Ishaq Dar are clearly saying that it pays to be dishonest. Have they too earned their billions by evading taxes and looting the country?
