Anchor away
Published in The News on October 26, 2014
I
would like to know why our TV channel owners and anchors are not aware that it
is illegal to defame any person or organisation without adequate proof. We have
seen one TV anchor repeatedly waving pieces of paper, claiming that it was
proof of what he was alleging. But when called by the court to present this
so-called proof, he said he was not in good health, although his illness did
not prevent him from hosting live TV shows.
This kind of behaviour is inexcusable and those people who are defending this
anchor as a national hero should realise this.
