Electricity from India
This refers to a news item about India offering to sell electricity to Pakistan. In the 1990s, Nawaz Sharif’s government offered electricity to India, which said it would buy it at 2 cents per unit, although our government was buying it for 6.50 cents per unit from independent power producers.
Pakistan should not pay more than 2 cents a unit for electricity from India, which is produced there for 1.50 cents per unit from coal-fired plants.
