This is with reference to Ansar Abbasi’s report titled “Life turns 50pc costlier in two years” (February 3). Why is Mr Abbasi so surprised? Didn’t he know that ‘democratic’ PPP governments in the past have always made life miserable for the poor? In fact, if I remember correctly, Mr Abbasi was a bitter critic of former president Musharraf. I hope he now realises that life under the dictator was much better than under the present set-up.
