Sindh tax collection
THIS refers to the news item `Sindh revenue
collection rises to Rs31 billion` (April 24) wherein property tax collection in
Sindh is shown as Rs 1.529 billion.
In another news item, the FBR has demanded Rs59 billion from just one Karachi builder as income tax. This means that the property tax collection should be many times more than what it is now, considering the enormous construction activity in Karachi alone.
We know, of course, how efficient the Sindh government is, but what about IMF managers? Surely, they will spot massive tax evasion in the province?
