Fake degrees

This is with reference to your coverage of the fake degrees issue. The Election Commission of Pakistan is getting ready to take action against parliamentarians who won the 2008 general elections with fake degrees. Those who submit forged degrees to get elected are no less than criminals. If this kind of thing had happened in any democratic and civilised country, those submitting forged degrees would have been jailed along with those who printed the fake documents.
The problem is that there is no accountability in Pakistan, and it has to start now. Those parliamentarians who thought it was perfectly normal to submit fake degrees should face punishment. They should be disqualified from ever contesting elections or holding public offices in future. Let the law take its course.
