Cricketer or politician?

Saturday, July 18, 2009

You can't help admiring Shoaib Akhtar. He's reportedly considering legal action against the PCB for making his "skin ailment" public. We know, of course, that his skin problem isn't due to the weather or pollen in the atmosphere. Yet he has the gall to say that that he still has three or four years of cricket left in him, despite the fact that he must hold the record for being the most injury-prone player in cricket history. He should seriously consider entering politics.

He'll do much better as a politician, because to be a politician in Pakistan you need the kind of audacity he has.
