5,000-rupee note

THE government should withdraw not only the 5000-rupee note, but also prize bonds ranging from Rs5,000 to Rs40,000. These bonds, being readily convertible to cash, are also used by tax evaders, smugglers and other such ‘worthy’ citizens for their nefarious activities.
