Unnecessary holidays
Sir:
I cannot understand why the Sindh government has to announce an extra holiday
before each gazetted holiday (as they have done for Eid-e-Milad). It is very
difficult to explain to employees that a holiday announced by the Sindh
government is purely meant for its employees to go to their villages and
increase the country’s population. Everyone knows that most of the time this
government does not function at all. In fact, it would be
better
for it to announce at the beginning of every year the dates on which its
employees should report to duty.
