your place!
This is with reference
to the letters ‘Violent MPA’ (June 17). I don’t understand why some people take
exception to the slapping of a female bus attendant by an MPA. How dare a
commoner like the bus attendant open her mouth in the presence of a mighty
lawmaker of our ruling party? Next thing you know, a flight attendant might ask
some other member of the ruling party to refrain from smoking while on a plane.
Ordinary Pakistanis should
know their place and treat their lawmakers with due respect. Please remember
that our parliamentarians are not ordinary mortals, they own watches worth $4.6
million and come to assembly sessions in SUVs, unlike their ‘poor’ counterparts
in the UK who use public transport.
