Rampant bank robberies
This is with reference to your editorial ‘Rampant bank robberies’ (Dec 15). Your query about what good is the taxpayer-funded police force if it cannot track down the criminals despite the clear CCTV footage.
I think you are being rather too harsh on the police force, one-third of which is always on VVIP protection duty, another third is always on sick leave, and the remainder is either absent or indulging in gossip.
