Tax imposed on the rich

Sir: Recently, the US secretary of state told the government of Pakistan to impose a tax on rich Pakistanis. Pakistan was always looted by the select few, and nothing will ever change this painful reality. I wonder why this fact was never incorporated in all our constitutions. Custom appraisers and even clerks earning only 12,000 rupees a month or less were always able to buy huge bungalows, while the middle class continued to pay taxes. Politicians who own palaces in France and the UK will never be questioned over how they got the money to buy such expensive properties and those who do not pay the taxes become members of parliament and siphon away a good portion of our tax money into their foreign bank accounts. If Hillary Clinton is so concerned about the poor Pakistanis having to foot the bill, she should arrange to settle all of them in the US.
