Deserving ‘leaders’

Sir: Someone was wondering the other day why our drivers have a habit of blocking both sides of the road, while in other countries they queue up so that other vehicles can pass through. The answer to this is that our people, like our leaders, are highly undisciplined. After all, our leaders are from the people, and (like them) they consider themselves above the law. Unless we elect honest and disciplined leaders, we will never learn to be civilised. After all, people get the leaders that they deserve.
