Corruption: tacit agreement?

Wednesday, 03 Mar, 2010

THIS is apropos of Murad Baig’s letter ‘Raiwind meeting’ (Feb 25, wherein the writer has quoted Dawn of Feb 23 as saying: “....the Prime Minister urged Nawaz Sharif not to lay stress on Swiss cases and promised that in return the government would not proceed on NAB cases against the Sharif family.”

Why don’t both parties agree that in future whoever is in power will not file any corruption cases against the opposition, and the opposition would not talk about corruption by the ruling party, irrespective of the quantum of corruption?
