Our next president
Pakistan may be the only country in the world where crime pays. The salaried persons and other honest people pay income tax regularly, but those who habitually evade taxes are periodically given incentives to 'whiten' their black money. So those who pay taxes honestly are fools. And now we hear that the man who may be the next president of the country is still under investigation in Switzerland for taking kickbacks from Swiss companies. In any other country, such a man would never think of contesting for public office (let alone be allowed by the courts to fight an election). What next?
